International Stage Technology Conference

The International Stage Technology Conference organised by DTHG is an integral part of Stage|Set|Scenery. Here you can find the most important facts to know about the conference:

Kostümschaffendentagung der GTKos

With a 3 day conference at the Palais am Funkturm, the GTKos offers all professional groups in the costume-making industry a great networking platform and training opportunities.

The themes discussed range from of process of dyeing and designing costumes, fundus and wardrobe, tailoring and shoemaking.

SoundLab

SoundLab

Covering a display area of 110 m² and taking as its slogan ’The place for good sound’, the SoundLab in Hall 22b will give trade visitors an opportunity to find about the latest products representing audio systems, acoustics, acoustic equipment, PA systems and electro-acoustics on all three days of the fair. The SoundLab has been organised in cooperation with DTHG, Gerriets, KS Beschallungstechnik, Müller-BBM, Sennheiser and Shure.

LightLab

From 20 to 22 June 2017, taking as its slogan ’Key to Light’, the LightLab in Hall 20 will host workshops, round table discussions and presentations featuring leading international lighting designers who will be taking a look at the importance of lighting and its uses in theatres, studios and at events. Guided tours will also be available on all three days of the fair, which will give trade visitors an opportunity to meet directly with manufacturers and distributors.

Safety in Action-Stage

Safety Engineering and Security Services

Under the supervision of xempdreht the Safety in Action stage in Hall 23a will focus on safety during productions. The audience will be able to witness everyday situations augmented by practical, in-depth, educational and fascinating lectures. An international workshop and the ’Fire protection dialogue’ will round off the programme of events. On the afternoon of 21 June 2017 the professional association representing administrations (Verwaltungs-Berufsgenossenschaft – VBG) will hold a workshop on dance rehabilitation which specifically addresses dance instructors.

Anatomical Theatre

The Anatomical Theatre in Hall 23b will focus on vocational and advanced training opportunities. On 20 June 2017 universities, technical colleges, business colleges and professional training institutions will showcase their work and latest projects. On 21 June 2017 the ten best works of the Weltenbauer.Youngster.Awards will also go on display. On 22 June 2017 the focus will be on the Erasmus Workshop Plus and the completion of the ETTE project.

Excursions

On Friday, 23 June 2017, the day after the show ends, Stage|Set|Scenery will offer visitors an opportunity to take part in fascinating excursions during which they can take a look behind the scenes. The following excursions are scheduled: Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Barenboim-Said Akademie, C/O Berlin Foundation, the Assisi project in Lutherstadt-Wittenberg, rbb Haus der Rundfunks and rbb Studios in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Registration will commence in the spring of 2017.

The big party takes place on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 6.30 pm, Palais am Funkturm.

Weltenbauer.Award
You have developed an award-worthy stage technical solution which "enchants" the audience by genuineness and creativity?
Submit your project now for the next application round of the price DER WELTENBAUER.

Weltenbauer.Youngsters.Award
For the first time DTHG and Messe Berlin will prize the Weltenbauer.Youngsters.Award.
Entitled to participate are trainees, students (ranging from schools to vocational and higher education) from any country specialising in the theatre, films and event technology.

The Awarding ceremony of the Weltenbauer.Award and the Weltenbauer.Youngsters.Award will take place on June 20th, 2017 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Palais am Funkturm.
