Whether the subject is cultural buildings as event venues, sustainability at events or online sales for the MICE industry – Stage|Set|Scenery, the International Trade Show and Conference for Theatre, Film and Event Technology is devoting an independent section to event services in Hall 22, where the Event Manufactory will be featuring impulse lectures on a wide range of topics. Among those taking part will be Bernd Fritzges, chairman of the board of the Association of Event Organisers (VDVO): ”Making use of cultural buildings to host events is a key topic at Stage|Set|Scenery“, Fritzges said. “This is an area where cultural events and the MICE industry can benefit from each other. Stage|Set|Scenery provides the ideal platform for an interdisciplinary exchange of views.”
The VDVO, the industry’s largest association, is represented in Hall 22 with its own stand, where it will have information on trends and innovations in the event industry. Numerous exhibitors will also be presenting their products and services – including marquee rentals, prefabricated halls and temporary structures, planning and consultation, catering, software, personnel services, trade fair construction and furniture rentals.
”We are from Berlin and rent furniture out to customers across Europe, which is why Stage|Set|Scenery is the main event for us on our doorstep”, said Georg Winkel, chief executive officer of SWOOFLE GmbH. ”We are looking forward to meeting our customers here this year as well as to actively helping to shape the programme of events.“ The Event Manufactory is the focal point of the Event Services section, where SWOOFLE will be providing an interactive, and diverse experience. The highlight will be four individual sections offering different activities, including fascinating lectures and the chance to take part in a tricky Escape Game.
Servamus GmbH from Berlin is another local company taking part. This agency, which offers a comprehensive range of services, provides fair construction, technical management and event services. ”Stage|Set|Scenery is a must for us. For us as a company from Berlin, this is a home fixture so to speak. Exploring the latest industry trends, cultivating relations and fascinating meetings are all part of being here. We look forward to meeting a lot of familiar faces, new people and finding out about innovative ideas. We are proud to be a partner of this event and to help shape the industry’s future.“
”Whether for medical conferences, vernissages or film premieres – Berlin is much in demand for events. It was only logical therefore for us to expand our Event Services section”, said Patricia Pohle, the project manager of Stage|Set|Scenery. ”We look forward to welcoming many new exhibitors here.“
At Stage|Set|Scenery a wide-ranging programme awaits visitors from the event industry – including lighting and sound technology (LightLab and SoundLab), safety during productions (Safety in Action stage), and employing VR technology at exhibitions (Immersive Showroom). Day three will feature a round table under the heading ‘The show is dead, long live the show!’.
