’Brighten the future’ – that is the slogan of the LightLab at this year’s Stage|Set|Scenery, the international trade show and conference for theatre, film and event technology in Berlin. Covering an area of 320m² In Hall 20, the LightLab focuses on lighting, projection and networks and is curated by the lighting designer Manfred “Ollie“ Olma of mo2 design. “Stage|Set|Scenery is the ideal platform for a high-level exchange of views with the industry’s practicians“, said Ollie Olma. “I am particularly looking forward to the LightLab, which has been completely redesigned. ”The combination of spotlights used by us is unique the world over and clearly sets the LightLab apart. “

LifeTime Talks and the “morning after”

Among this year’s highlights are the LifeTime talks at the LightLab, where Ollie Olma will be talking to well-known figures from the event and lighting technology scene. Once again, the ‘Let’s talk about light’ discussions will be taking place with exhibitors, who will include Lightpower, Cast, ETC and LMP. Numerous Theme Talks are also scheduled. Among the topics will be control, networks, projection and LED lighting in the theatre. Sven Kubin from the Stages and Studio section of the administrative trade association will provide an overview of this topic. He will be talking about the health problems that the increased blue section in LED lighting can cause and what that means for its use in the theatre and at events.

In Hall 20 numerous exhibitors will also be presenting their innovations – including spotlights, lighting effects, LED lighting, laser technology, lighting control systems, dimmers, lighting systems, lighting installations and lighting for buildings.
